so the deal is...I started out with several boards lines up (only 12"x12") all I had gessoed first..."they' say to gesso first so I do BUT when I do not and just let the wax hit the boards well, it sinks in just as well..so I think perhaps it is just the gesso makers who 'profit' by the 'should' but this series of hard shapes...are all done on GESSOED boards...so maybe THAT will be the name of this series...gessoed buildings! ha! you would not believe how many squareds have come and gone on this board...to make them relate in shaped and color..the angst of this!
