Lake Toxaway in wax
My next huge encaustic piece...6'x4'...tons of wax...lots of blow torching...at least 20 layers...many hours...finally I was happy...that is my ending point---I paint til I am happy! sometimes a lot of angst gets released in the process...and that is the truth...
Forever Now
This is my first try at doing a large encaustic piece...this is done on a panel 6'x3'...a lot of waxing went into this piece...when I am finished I use a blow torch to fuse each layer and then use a standard car polisher to polish...very exciting in person...I love the texture possible with waxing...my new passion!
Raven Rock Falls
My place of peace in Lake Toxaway North Carolina...This canvas is 8'x5' in oil...has taken forever to finish and is now hanging over our fireplace at the lake...This falls is at the end of the River Walk @ Lake Toxaway and I take all of my friends and new visitors to this walk...It is the most special place on earth for me.
Diana's world
This is a painting I did for my friend Diana...it is on panels with acrylic...BIG!! each panel is 6'x3'...a lot of fun to do!
