So this is the second entry for that contest at the Bascom. It is also encaustic on 36"x36" board...heirloom tomatoes...the blocks on the side were to give some 'meaning' to a still life. So what do tomatoes mean to me? Read the squares...
My journey as a painter has carried me through the dramas of raising six children, earning a doctorate in education (FAU), a dozen moves, marriage to THE golf course architect Tom (32 years and still counting).
Painting is how my passion meets the world. I paint because I need and am excited with the challenge. I sell my paintings and prints because I need space and all the proceeds benefit our hometown Boys & Girls Club of Hendersonville, North Carolina that Tom and I founded in 1993.
Browse my art -- email me if you are interested but please be patient as I spend my time painting and NOT on email. Thank you for your interest.
