the soft pink skies of my childhood...we lived across the way from the Miami River so this was a regular view for me growing up

this is my addiction to those blue trees...with the sunrise...if the photo was better you'd really 'feel' the sunrise...I will try better next time...oh, did I mention that I really like to paint and not do this technology thing

I grew up in Ohio...this looks like any field in my childhood...and sky...we used to ride our horses bareback all through the fields (whether they were ours or not...)we just crushed down the fences and road...we had a lot of freedom as children...there were no 'terrorists' or crazy people who would hurt children so our parents were relaxed with us...breakfast and then put a sandwich in our pocket and we were expected home by dinner...in the summer,of course

Here I wanted to smooth out the texture with the final coat of clear medium which I then scaped down so mostly this is very smooth

this is a great example of how i get to the texture...I put down a layer of dark (in this case warm) and then add clear medium after the burning/fusing with the layer beneathe then I scrumble the next contrasting layer of color fuse/clear medium then the last layer here is the white for the 'clouds"but let me not lead you into the temptation and deliver you from the evil of thinking this is anything other than playing with wax

I am visualizing the stillness of nature here contrasting with the endlessness of space...verticle and horizontal tensions combined with the testures...hmmmm
